Playa del Carmen

Jim and I took a trip to Mexico with some of our friends, Will and Brendy. We left early Sunday morning and got back late Wednesday night. We had never been to Mexico, so we were really excited. We had a good time! We stayed at an all-inclusive resort called Sandos Caracol. It was a nice resort. It seemed to be a very family friendly resort.

Our first day on the beach

We were not impressed with our beach. There was a bunch of rocks and seaweed, and the water was not crystal clear like we imagined.

The second day we were there, it rained all day long. We decided to go into town and walk around. As we were walking around, we looked down a side street and saw this beach. It was MUCH prettier than what our beach was, so we decided to come to this beach on Tuesday and spend the day here.

Brendy and I went parasailing. This was while we were waiting for the jet ski to take us out to the boat.

This was not us, but it was what we did. I was pretty queasy when we got back to shore. We sat on the boat for about 30 minutes before we went up and by then, the waves were already making me sea sick. Then going up that high and the wind blowing us around, it was sickening. the view however was amazing!

Tuesday, we spent the day at the beach in town and had a great time! The weather was nice and just all around a perfect beach day. We decided we would walk home on the beach all the way around to our resort. We left town at about 4:30 and got to our resort at 6:10. We estimated it to be about 4 miles. Our feet were sore and tired from walking in the sand that far. It was cool to say that we did it, but I don't want to walk that far in sand again!
