Today is November 2nd and today I am thankful for my parents. I am spending the afternoon over here at their house. They aren't home yet from church since they drive an hour out of town to go to church. Dad is the music minister. The kids are asleep in the front bedroom. And I'm just sitting here by myself in my parents' home. I love being here. Whether they are here or not, it is just homey. I never lived in this particular house, because I was already married when they moved here, but I love it still.
Jim is playing golf this afternoon. That's why I'm over here. Just to hang out. My parents should be home any minute really. It is so wonderful to have them so close by. I told Jim before I left the house and he was headed to the golf course, "You know if we didn't live near my momma and daddy, you wouldn't be playing golf so often..." He said he knows that.
I love my Momma and Daddy and I am so thankful for their unconditional love for me and my family.

We spend most Sunday afternoons at my in-laws. I love being at their house. I tell my MIL that Sunday lunch is the best meal my family gets all week. And I'm not kidding. We are so busy during the week that I usually throw something together.

We are so blessed with such amazing parents. It's so hard to live so far away from them (and you)! It's difficult since I went from seeing them everyday when Derek was in the academy until now when I don't ever see them. I am so looking forward to the holidays!
