First Day of School

Today was the first day of school! They both did wonderfully! I cannot believe my firstborn is in Kindergarten! She was very excited, needless to say, and so it made it a lot easier for me. And the boy did awesome! No tears, and no sadness! He walked right in after a hug and a kiss from me! I was very, very proud of both of them. They have both conked out in their beds now. I missed them a lot this morning! I ended up not going to breakfast, so I didn't have anything else planned really. I did some laundry and ran a few errands, but that's about it. Jim came home at lunch and I told him I was so ready to pick them up already. The girl's Kindergarten is only until noon, but on Tuesday and Thursday when the boy goes to Mom's Day Out, it is until 1:30 so the girl will stay for extended day on those days. Starting next week, on Tuesday, she will go to Spanish for a little while during extended day.

I did surprisingly well this morning. I didn't cry! I teared up just a tad when I looked through the window/fishtank to peek in on her. Now, my armpits cried. Holy cow, I haven't sweat like that in a long time! I'm not sure if it was nerves or what, but it was disgusting!

Okay, now for a change of subject, here are some precious pictures!

Already at work!

Thank you so much for those of you who said a prayer for me this morning! They worked, praise God! Have a great week. And I've got a story for you, so stay tuned!

Ha! The first to comment tonight :) I am so glad your day went good. It makes it so much more doable when you know they are eager and ready to go. I'll keep praying that it continues to go that way.
