A Conversation

On the way to gymnastics this evening, the kids had a conversation and it went like this:

The Girl: "Mama, God can jump from my house to Candace's house, can't He?"

Me: "Well, God doesn't have to jump anywhere because He's everywhere."

The Girl: "Yeah. He's everywhere. In my house. In Candace's house. In Olive Garden... (as we pass it). In that building... (as we pass it).

The Boy: "Yeah. He's everywhere and he's in my heart."

The Girl: "He's in my heart 'cause I asked him. You didn't ask him."

(Now, I couldn't see, but I'm sure there were some nodding of heads back and forth because listen to what follows.)

The Boy: (whining) "Mama, [Girl] said Jesus isn't in my heart."

Me: "[Girl], you can't judge whether Jesus is in somebody's heart. Only God knows.

The Boy: "Yeah, see this bump right here? He's in there."

The Girl: "[Boy], you can't see Jesus in your heart."

(On a side note, the boy is three and no, he has not asked Jesus into his heart. But I know he loves Jesus and he does say that Jesus is in his heart, so I just let him talk.)

How edifying to you to hear your children talk to each other about Jesus in their heart!!! A blessing for sure. I can just see the smile on His face as He watched along...

Just one of the many blessings we have as being the Mom......Keep those words close to your hearts. They grow up way to fast!

So sweet! I think that's an example of your children rising up and calling you "blessed". What affirmation to you and Jim as parents for your children to be so comfortable discussing eternal issues.

How sweet is that! Don't you just love the faith of a child? My child has been talking alot about Jesus lately and I have been wondering if that is stirring in her? Thanks for sharing their conversation!
