Pumpkin Patch

Today was Pumpkin Patch day at school. The girl's class took a field trip to a church here in town that has a pumpkin patch every year. It's not a reall pumpkin patch. They are already picked and just set out on the front lawn of the church, but it's still fun! They listen to a couple of Halloween stories. Then they get to walk around and play in the pumpkins. They also get to buy one small one. Of course, the girl chose a pumpkin that has a small mushy part on the side, so I'm not sure how long we will be keeping it.

Since the boy and his class are still a little young to take a field trip, the director bought small pumpkins and just placed them on the ground in the prayer gardens. They thought it was a blast finding and choosing one.

This is the boy and his friend (Cami Mariano's son).

I love going to the pumpkin patch. I usually take the kids several times in October because they love to walk about and look at the pumpkins. We always go as a family and take a couple of pictures, so I guess we need to do that since October is almost over. Can you believe it? It's going to Christmas before we know it! (And I'm ready. Are you?)

Looks like fun! I can't believe it is almost Christmas, either. I'm almost done w/ my shopping :) BUT don't forget Thanksgiving!
