Random Quote

"Some days are such a waste of good makeup."
Mom and I were in Hobby Lobby this morning when I saw a cute little pink and green plaque with this quote on it. Isn't it great? And so true? I think that everytime I put on a little makeup to go to the Health Club - it is such a waste of my good and expensive, I might add, Clinique makeup to just be sweated off (does that make sense?). I can't stand going through a whole day without makeup. Even if I'm just planning on staying home all day (which is a very rare occasion for me; very rare, because it's boring), I still put my makeup on. But it's such a waste of some good makeup! What days are a waste of makeup for you?

I love the letter you wrote to your little one! She will surly cherish that when she is older, and I know you will as well. :) Looks like the birthday party was a hit and everyone had a great time!
Sorry I can't comment on the makeup. I wear next to none, and find the whole idea of makeup a pesky, but sometimes necessary, thing. I think it's been over a year since I actually purchased any make up except for maybe mascara....
Take care Mrs. Honea!

I thought I must be the only crazy person who thought this!
I do not put on make-up some days because I think "I'm not going anywhere or seeing anyone, it would just be a waste of make-up"
It makes me feel much better knowing that I am NOT alone in my logical mentality :)

My days are every day now that I'm in Marfa. I don't have much to do here, so it's a waste of good makeup! But of course, we always want to look good for our men, right?

hi,

this is completely random, but i was looking on beth moore's blog, and reading all of the comments about malapropisms. i read your comment, and i don't know why, but i clicked on your picture. saw the intriguing story of how you and your husband met, and decided to follow the link. ... i was so surprised to read that you are from SAN ANGELO! that's where i'm from, too! i know judge gilbert, and my boyfriend has also received a ticket for parking in a handicapped parking space.

anyway, it's a really small world!

also, is there any relation between you and jon and andrea honea here in san angelo?

Lexee - I went to your blog, but I didn't see anywhere where I could reply to your comment. It was actually Judge Daniels that we dealt with during that time. Jon Honea is a very very very distant cousin of my husband. Crazy! Well, it's nice to meet you!

My wasted days are those when I actually get ready and then look like crap by the time Paul gets home!

I was just thinking this the other day when I spent an hour getting ready. I didn't even leave the house! Instead, two girlfriends came over for Bible study. The stupid thing is I spent so much time getting ready, I neglected the rest of my house...it was a mess! I was so embarrassed, but I looked cute! That's what really matters, right?! :)

My wasted makeup days are the ones when I go to school to work on my room when NO ONE is there. Why do I think I need to wear makeup to just sweat it off? Who's going to see me? The walls of my classroom don't really care-- hee hee. I guess it's for that hispanic older janitor that speaks no English (hee hee--remember Mr. Guajardo?) I'm sure he'd run out of my building scared to death if he saw me in my "natural" state--it can be rough! :)
I don't usually put makeup on if I'm going to be home all day but I do agree with you--I usually feel better if I put my makeup on and fix my hair. Otherwise I feel like a slob--
