The Girl

She has seriously become the clumsiest thing. Actually, she is so active, and just careless. Yesterday, she already had a sore on the side of her leg. The scab got scratched off somehow. At some point during the day, she hit her head on the bar in the kitchen and on a doorknob. Then when we were getting ready to brush her teeth, she jumped up onto the step stool at the sink. I'm not quite sure what she was thinking jumping up onto the stool. She didn't jump high enough and hit her shin on the edge of it. It left a mark. A bruise and she cried. I bet it hurt! Then when we had finished brushing her teeth, she decided that she wanted to turn the light off. She cannot reach these yet, so she jumps to turn them off. Well, as she jumped, she hit her knee on the door face. Bless her heart, she started crying again.

Today, she got her arm pinched in the trash can. Then the boy bit the snot out of her. I was blow-drying my hair, and I see her walk into my room screaming. Screaming so hard that she can't even get a breath and holding her arm right near her shoulder. The mark was amazing. It was red, black, blue, and purple. With teeth marks and grates. Not sure if that makes sense, but it's like he bit down on the chunk of skin, then pulled away. Ouch! It hurts me to type it. I marched into the living room and saw the boy scared to death just sitting on the floor. I showed him the mark on the girl, spanked his leg because he still wears a diaper and it wouldn't hurt if I spanked his bottom, and carried him to his room. Then I went on to comfort the girl. Poor thing. It looks so sore! They were wrestling and the boy just gets so excited and doesn't know what to do with himself and just bit her. He's not a biter. He has bit a few other times, but it's just not something that he does.

I went to a girl's night out tonight. When I asked how the kids were when I came home, Jim said that the scab got scratched off the girl's leg again. She also hit her head on the doorknob to the pantry in the kitchen. Oh, and I just remembered that she hurt her toe this afternoon somehow. I don't remember what she did, but I just remember her coming to me telling me in the hurt whine voice that she hurt her toe.

Jim said tonight that after she hit her head on the pantry doorknob she said, "How come I always get hurt and [the boy] never gets hurt?" I just about died laughing. Hilarious! She is just a monkey and jumps around carelessly. Or maybe she takes after her Aunt Em and is just clumsy! (No offense, Em, but I've heard you admit it before!)

And by the way, I had a blast at girl's night out tonight! But when I got home and pulled my shirt off, I realized I still had the Express price tag on it attached to the shirt tag. I just hope that it was inside my shirt rather than hanging out. Or at least hiding under my hair. You know, I did the exact same thing the other day. I bought some Nike workout capris on sale at Academy the other day. I put them on one morning to make sure they fit before I cut the tag off and they fit. Well, I forgot to cut the tag off and headed off to take the girl to school. As I'm walking in to drop her off, a lady behind me goes, "Uh, ma'am, um, I don't mean to embarrass you, but you still have the tag hanging out the back of those pants." Oh my gosh, I about died! I immediately started talking as fast as I could trying to explain myself. That I just bought these, and I was trying them on this morning to make sure they fit before I tore the tag off. When I put them on, they fit, and I just forgot to cut the tag off. The poor lady, she probably thought I was going to wear them and then take them back. Oh, how embarrassing! I've got to get better at this! And tonight, when I put that shirt on, I saw the tag and thought, "Oh, I need to cut that tag off, but I will just make sure I really like this shirt before I do." I don't know what makes me think that I'm going to take back a shirt that I bought at Express when we don't have an Express here. And it was clearanced when I bought it. And the next time I will be at an Express will be a while and they probably wouldn't even let me return it because it would've been too long.

Alright, I have rambled on enough. That frozen margarita at dinner got a long blog out of me! Have a wonderful weekend. My sister, Emily, is graduating this weekend from college. And my brother-in-law, Stephen, my other sister Anna's husband is graduating, too!!! We've got an exciting weekend coming up. And tomorrow night is parent's night out at church! Dinner and movie, here we come. We are going with my good friend from college, Mandi and her husband Preston. You can visit her sweet family here. Y'all have a good night. I'm headed to bed! :)

That poor girl!!! I know she gets it from me, but you have to blame it on Gigi because I get it from her! Haha, that's so funny that you left the tag on AGAIN... maybe you're starting a new trend!?

Girl, I giggled during that whole entry! I could envision your whole day.

Justin is just as "graceful." He can trip over a blade of grass. It blows my mind. It's like the blade of grass jumps up and knocks him down. Go figure.

Have a blessed weekend and enjoy your PNO!!!

Hi! I found your blog through Sherry's blog and had to comment when I read about the girl hitting her head on the door knob. My daughter Caden has done that so many times lately. She is also always having an boo-boo of some sort!
