2009

It's a new year! Hurrah! I love the beginning of a new year. A clean slate, sort of. And so far, I've started the year off right! This year, I am going to read the Bible through in chronological order. Since it's chronological (which makes more sense to me), you may jump around from book to book. So far, I'm lovin' it! I started reading in 2004, but didn't make it very far. This year, it's a goal. Another goal is to memorize Scripture. The Lord heavily laid Scripture memorization on my mother's heart a few months ago, and she has encouraged me to do it! She even gave my sisters and I this little book called, "Scripture Memory made easy" and it is a great book. It has a 7-page pull-out in the back with a plan for learning 100 Bible verses. After my mom and I had decided to do this, we read Beth Moore's blog and she is doing it, too. And Angie is doing it, too. I really believe that Scripture memorization is so important. I've never really made it a goal of mine, and honestly, I don't know a lot of Scriptures by memory. Hence, it is a huge goal of mine for this new year! My kids are even joining in...they are going to memorize the 23rd Psalm, one verse at a time. The girl's already got the first verse down pat.

So what are some of your goals for this new year? Please share.

2009 is going to be an exciting year, I've got a feeling. It's gotta be, because I have 24 friends who are having babies this year. Yes! 24! Can you believe that? Kristin is having her baby boy, Cayden, tomorrow! She will be induced at 9:00 in the morning, so say a little prayer for her. I have several blog friends who are pregnant, too! Here's my list, which is more for me than for you: (and I'm still trying to figure out due dates)

And if you need to be added to this list, please let me know! If you are praying and wishing you were on this list, I would love to pray for you. Kelly also has a prayer blog for those wanting to be pregnant and there have been a lot of praises going on at that blog.

Happy New Year! May you be blessed this 2009!

Yea, a new post! I know, I see or talk to you every day...but I love reading each new entry to your blog! And, I'm so excited about the commitment we've made to memorizing scripture! Keep me accountable! I love you...and I look forward to all that God is going to do in, through, and with our family this year!

22...that's crazy!
Oddly enough, I was just thinking yesterday how I only have two friends that are pregnant. This is a first for me. Usually, I have tons of pregnant friends.

I'm reading the Bible chronologically too this year! Mom got me the Bible and I am loving it as well! Maybe we can be accountable for each other! K? Love you and miss you!

I'm reading the Bible in Chronological order too! I started it right before Carter was born and obviously it started going a little slower, but I'm loving it. I made a "family tree" for Genesis to keep it all straight in my head. Numbers gets kinda boring as it's a calculation of the people and instructions on how to build/prepare/clean but over all it's going well. Take care and Happy New Year!
