Christmas 2008

Here is a slide show of some of the pictures from Christmas! Make sure you click on the little caption thing on the bottom left hand corner for the captions on the pictures.
We had a wonderful time with family! My sister, Erin, and her family from Oklahoma came; my sister, Emily, from way out in West Texas got to come with her hubby; and of course Anna and Stephen who live here. We were all together and had a blast! My grandparents also got to be with us! My Uncle Jim (mom's brother) and Aunt Jeannie were also here from Houston. My kids loved them! There are some hilarious stories. One I'll share. Aunt Jeannie was coloring with the girl. Well, Aunt Jeannie was coloring without her glasses, so she was getting out of the lines a little bit. Let me preface this by saying that the girl is a perfectionist and her coloring it perfect, all words must be spelled correctly when she writes, and so on. While they were coloring, the girl leaned over and said, "Oh, you got out of the lines a little bit right there." Aunt Jeannie told her that she wasn't wearing her glasses, so that's probably why. The girl proceeds to say, "It's okay. I'll just tell everyone that it was me." Isn't that sweet?! We were cracking up!
The boy loved Uncle Jim and thought he was hilarious. The kids had a lot of fun playing with their cousins. It was a very fun time! Enjoy the pictures!

It looks like you had a wonderful time. How great that all of your family (sisters + husbands+ babies) were able to be there. May you all have a blessed new year!

I always like reading your blog, Ashley. One of my goals for this year is to start writing a blog. I may have to ask you for advice.

The story about your girl and Aunt Jeannie is a hoot!! How sweet (and very smart)-- trying to "cover" for Aunt J. Too cute!
