WARNING - wisdom teeth pictures!

Today was rough. Actually, this evening was rough. I finally broke down and cried just because I just feel plain rotten. I have only been taking Ibuprofen, but I finally took a hydrocodone. One of my stitches came out, which I think is fine. But it bothered me for a while before it came out. Just a long piece of the string kept hitting the roof of my mouth and almost making me gag. I paged the doctor three times, but never heard from him. I don't know if his pager isn't working or what. My sister-in-law used to work for him and she said that's not like him, so I don't know what was going on. I texted her throughout the day for advice. She said it was probably okay. Anyway, the whole stitch finally came out later this afternoon. But Heather said that there are other stitches and to just no worry about it. I'll just call him Monday morning and let them know. I have my post-op on Thursday. My mom made some butter beans tonight that were delish. I had to mash them up because I hurt so bad, but I was starving. She made some Eckrich sausage, too, that looked SO yummy. Jim cut a tiny piece for me that I chewed on for a while on my front teeth. I wish I could've eaten more. A cheeseburger sounds REALLY good right now. So frustrating. I'm eating some yogurt right now (and it's never tasted so good in my life) so I can take some more hydrocodone. I hope tomorrow is better. My jaw is still really tight and I can barely open my mouth. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of my square jaw. My right side is really swollen. I have no make-up on, so I can't believe I'm actually posting them on here. I look like I'm 11 without make-up. And the third picture is one of my teeth, for those of you who were interested. They are enormous. If you click on the picture, it will get bigger and you can see a close-up! Warning...they have dried blood on them, so if you have a weak stomach, don't look. I can't believe those were in my mouth!

Goodnight! Thank you so, so much for all your prayers. I have thanked God for each one of you who have prayed for me. I love you.
Ashley

I so feel your pain lady. I remember Will getting take-out (b/c I wasn't about to cook anything) and I wanted it sooo bad, but couldn't eat it. The 4th day I tried some french fries, but that didn't go well. I lived on soup for a week, but it took about 2 weeks before I could eat soft foods, and about 3 weeks before anything crunchy. Just letting you know what lies ahead. One can only eat so much yogurt!
