Beth Moore and Siesta Fiesta

This past weekend was the Beth Moore conference in San Antonio. It was a ton of fun. Beth spoke on Inheritance. Psalms 16:5-6 says, "The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup. You hold my lot. The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance." I left the conference feeling very loved by my God and knowing that I have a beautiful inheritance in Him. He is my portion. And I am His. We are His portion. I'm an heiress of God.

Travis Cottrell and the worship team did an awesome job leading us to the throne. He is an amazing worship leader and truly has the annointing of the Holy Spirit on His life.

Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Rich, the event photographer, took this picture. I'm not sure what the look on my face is about. That's my friend Jana on my left.

Rich also took this picture of the three of us! I think it's a very good picture.

The Moore girls were so kind to pause for a minute for a picture with me. They a beautiful and you can just see the glory of the Lord on their faces.

They are both really tall, too. Or maybe it's just that I am so short!

This is Kaci. I got to meet her this weekend and sit with her. We share a mutual friend, Abby, who was not able to be there and we both missed her!

I also got to see Aunt Debbie Smith. They were also missionaries in the Philippines and I grew up with her three kids. It was neat to see her and visit with her for a little while. (And for those of you wondering, she's not my blood-related aunt. On the mission field, we call our fellow missionaries aunt so-and-so and uncle so-and-so, because really, they are the only family we have overseas.)

This is Lori. She is a great friend of mine from church.

Jenny and me. She was adorable and I loved her Alabama accent. It was so fun meeting her.

Beth trying to pound something really important into our heads.

Me, Jana, and Sandy, the girls I came with to the Siesta Fiesta waiting in line to get in to the Siesta Fiesta!

While waiting in line, I met Kristen and her mom, Valerie.

And there's Big Mama and Boo Mama

For the Siesta Fiesta pictures, we got into groups according to a color that they gave us at registration. Then Beth and her daughters came and got with each group as the Event photography, Rich, took pictures. We called Travis over, the only Miesta, to be in our group picture! It was great!

Thanks to Rich, here is our group picture. Kelly Minter is also in it!

After pictures, we mainly had a question and answer session for Beth and the girls. It was fun to get to hear about the little things that matter for them, like make-up or hair, or about the new baby coming.

This just about made me cry. But as Beth was praying for this security woman, I prayed. I'm not sure what was going on, but I prayed for her. Just as Beth was headed to get into the van after the Siesta Fiesta, Sabrina, the LPM Director (I think that's who she is) brought this woman over to Beth. As they were walking, she was wiping tears from her eyes. I said a prayer for her.

It was a wonderful weekend of refreshing! I had a great time!

Your picture of Beth praying with the security lady touched me to pray for her too. Only God knows how to use our prayers for her. I wasn't at the event but am so blessed by everyone's blogs and comments of what went on there.

Ashley...how in the world did we miss each other?! :(

I am so bummed about that because you were one that I was looking forward to hugging.

I did have a blessed time though, and it looks like you did too. How awesome that Rich took your pictures!!!

I've linked this post from my blog because of the picture you posted of Beth with the policewoman. It is my favorite post of all the recaps from the Siesta Fiesta. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts with us...

Great post with Picks. I remember praying for the police-woman as well.

I thought it was a very touching way for the event to conclude.

Blessings.
