The Fourth of July was a full day. I was SO tired by the end of the night. Now, Jim will tell you differently. I was complaining by the end of the night how it had been a full day and I was exhausted. He played in a golf tournament all afternoon, in the 100 degree weather. While I was complaining, he asked me what I did all afternoon. Well, I just sat around at Mom and Dad's house...
...but we had the neighborhood golf cart parade in the morning...
...and I sat next to this hot golf player looking all GQ in his white belt...
...and the kids looked super-cute in their red, waving a miniature flag...
...and we threw candy to people watching the parade...
...and I snapped this beautiful shot of my almost 6-year-old little girl...
...and watched these three play in the sand in Pawpaw's back yard...
...and laughed at this cutie-patootie of a nephew and his silly faces and scrunched-up nose...
...and then met Jim at Freedom Fest. Our church has put Freedom Fest on for the last three years. It's a free city-wide event to celebrate our independence with giveaways, games for kids, this year a performance by Living Illusions, and of course, a fireworks show. Jim and I volunteered for the first shift, until 7:30. (Thanks, Mom, for keeping the kids!) Then we went to the country club where we are members to hang out with some good friends and watch the fireworks on the lake. We had a good time, but I was exhausted. Oh, and then, on the way home, we stopped by a friend's house and did some sparklers.
So, it was a fun day...
...and I was still exhausted!

How cute! The little seat Jim made for the kids was perfect for the parade! I LOVE the pictures!!!
