I realize it's been a while since I've posted so get ready for a long and random post, beginning now.
June 13 - We celebrated my nephew's 1st birthday. He wasn't too interested in opening his gifts, but I know Erin had fun opening them. Erin made a crayola box cake with the help from my gifted husband, Jim. He's so good! I cannot believe he is ONE!!! He is walking around everywhere now and is just a little hoot! And he loves his Aunt Ashley, too, I might add! :)
June 20-21 - Anna and I went to Fort Worth for a wedding of a childhood friend, a fellow missionary kid we grew up with in the Philippines. My little girl went with us, too. It was fun to have some one on one time with her and she really enjoyed all the attention. She was awesome the whole time Anna and I shopped. The wedding was Sunday night and it was great fun. Annie made a beautiful bride! We also got to see some other fellow missionary kids from the Philippines so that was also great fun!
Now we are caught up to this past weekend. It was full of just fun with friends. Sunday night, we went over to a friend's house for dinner and they had a big inflatable water slide. The kids had a blast on it! After dinner, they got back on and played some more. But at one point, another little boy came down the slide and his head hit the boy (my boy's) front top tooth. It got pushed back pretty good. It wasn't knocked loose but it was pushed back to behind his bottom teeth. We called our dentist who happens to also be our friend, but he wasn't home. Then Jim remembered he plays golf with another guy who is a dentist and just happens to be renting a house in our neighborhood. So we went by there and he was happy to take a look at it. Dr. Chitsey pulled it forward quite a ways but it was still kind of behind his bottom teeth. Poor baby was so brave, though. I got tears in my eyes. I still want to cry for him.
I finally got a hold of our dentist's wife cellphone number and I called and left her a voicemail. He called me back just a little while later and I told him what happened. He wanted to take a look at him today. So we went in at 3:00 this afternoon. He was SO brave. Dr. Henson numbed it; yes, with the injection and the boy cried even though he was watching a Mickey Mouse movie through some special glasses. I felt SO bad, but then Dr. Henson pulled it forward and it is now back to almost it's orginal position. He had to bite on some guaze for one hour afterward because it was still pretty loose. It has pretty much tightened up, but I'm sure it's still sore. Both of his lips are swollen and his top gums in the front are black and blue. Poor baby. He really couldn't chew anything today. He ate jello, applesauce, mashed potatoes, and some ice cream. I pray that it is a lot better tomorrow. And hopefully it won't turn gray.
This weekend is already the 4th of July and I cannot believe it! We are having a July 4th parade in our neighborhood and we'll decorate our golf cart and drive in it. Jim's playing in a golf tournament, then our church puts on a big free event for the city. After our volunteer shift is over, we are going to come back out to the country club for some fun on the lawn and watch the fireworks that will go off over the lake.
Looking forward to another fun weekend coming up! In the meantime, I'm looking forward to seeing my mom and dad. They've been gone for 10 days on a vacation to Branson. I know they've had a blast, but I'm SURE ready to see them!
As I type this blog, I'm watching "He's Just Not That Into You" and so far, I'm not impressed. Have you seen it? It's just weird! I can't wait to see "The Proposal", though. As soon as I get the chance, we will go!
And I feel like there is more to say, but it's all rolling through my brain too fast. I haven't been on here in so long. I feel guilty when it comes to blogging and commenting, but that doesn't mean I'm not reading! Have a great week, y'all!

I wasn't crazy about He's just not that into you. I thought it would be so much better because of the all star cast, but what a let down! Is Jim playing in the Bentwood Partnership July 17-19? Will is so we'll be in town. We should get together again - I had so much fun last time! Maybe a pool date or something more fun for the kids. And Erin and her boys too!
