Kindergarten Graduation

The ceremony was such a sweet one. They sang the sweetest songs and said Bible verses and showed a slideshow of the year. It was very special.

Look. At. Her. I fell in love with my baby girl all over again when I saw this smile on her face.

Getting her diploma from Mrs. Lavonne

When each child crossed the stage, they hugged Mrs. Chadwick and she moved their tassel to the other side. Then they stood there and watched a short "interview" they had filmed with questions like, "What's your favorite thing about school?" and "My favorite thing about Mrs. Chadwick is..." It was so cute!

Then they sang this song, "First Grade, First Grade" to the tune of "New York, New York"! It was the cutest thing. I'm going to try to get a video up of them singing it.

Officially a First-Grader!

At the reception

A picture she drew of herself earlier in the week that they had displayed at the reception.

The girl and one of her very good friends.
I did get tears in my eyes a few times during the ceremony. I just can't believe it's here. Kindergarten is over. They sang one song called "I'm That Sparrow" and that was when I lost it. The words just got me. I'm going to try to post that video along with the lyrics so you can see what I mean. You'll cry. :) Then they showed a slideshow at the end of pictures from the whole year and they put the pictures to the song "Find Your Wings" by Mark Harris. That will make you cry just listening to the words!
But we are off to a great summer already! The girl's cousin graduated today from a different school so we went to that and didn't really do much of anything else. The kids and I are headed to the zoo tomorrow with some friends so that will be fun!
Keep your eye out for some videos!
