A sick little girl and some soreness

The girl has strep throat. Ugh! She started running fever on Tuesday. I tried to get her into the doctor, but since we have switched pediatricians and the girl hasn't been seen by the new pedi, we had to wait for him to sign off on the application. The boy has seen him, but the girl hadn't. I finally got in to see the Dr. Acton today. They did a throat swab and sure enough...it's strep. I wondered if it was because of the way her throat looked and her tummy has been hurting. And a tummy-ache is a symptom of strep throat. Thank goodness she hasn't thrown up! That is so hard for me to handle. So, we've got antibiotics started and hopefully by tomorrow she will be feeling much better. She has a birthday party to go to tomorrow night that she REALLY wants to go to. I asked the doctor about her going and he said she should be fine tomorrow night unless she is still running fever. She will have been on the antibiotics for 36 hours by then, so I sure hope she is not running fever. I am praying that Jim, the boy, nor I take it. Except, the boy really wanted the girl's Gatorade today and I wouldn't give him any (just because it is so full of sugar and the girl was only drinking it to stay hydrated!). Well, he took a drink from her cup while I wasn't looking. Great! I made him take a drink of his juice to "rinse out" his mouth. Haha! Like that really works. The Lord will protect him.

I'm sitting here watching the space shuttle about to lift off. 30 seconds...and...lift off on Space Shuttle Atlantis! Wow! So amazing. Isn't it? I love watching this stuff!

Alright, sorry! A little distraction there. I did a ball class at the Health Club yesterday after Jim came home to watch the kids. Oh my gosh! I am SO sore today. It was a great workout and every single muscle in my core and back is sore. Owie!

I've got a lot on my heart lately and I'm still trying to get it all straight so I can actually write something that makes sense. I have been wanting to blog about it; I'm just waiting to get it all straight in my heart and in my brain. And it scares me to actually write it down because of the importance of the issue and the committment that I must make. Life is fleeting and I need to be the woman, wife, and mother that God has called me to be. I must stand for Jesus and serve. My faith needs to be strengthened because it is what connects me to God. God always responds to faith. I long to live a life pleasing to the Lord. I want to be captured by His love. I want to trust Him with complete abandon.

I'll get it all down soon. Have a wonderful day!
