I hate cleaning!

For those of you that know me well know that I hate to clean. Some of you that know me well may not know that though. I don't tell many people just because I don't want them to think my house is dirty. It's not. I disinfect, but I hate to dust, sweep, and vacuum. So if you come to my house, you may find dust. And some clutter. With two little ones, it's hard to keep everything neat and straight and in its place.

But, I just finished dusting my bedroom, sweeping, and vacuuming. I usually don't do any of these things until Jim asks me to. I know that's terrible, but that's how much I hate it. I love a clean house, though! Jim mentioned something the other day about how dusty our bedroom furniture was. I think that was some sort of hint. Then this morning, he asked me to vacuum. I figured if I'm going to vacuum, I might as well dust, and then vacuum. So I did. It feels good but I hated it!

Several months ago, Jim told me I could hire a cleaning lady to come clean our house. I kinda felt guilty at first even thinking about it. Only because I stay at home and I have the time to clean. (Even though I hate it!) Well, I thought about it and we talked about it. Jim said that since we could afford it and he didn't see any problem with it, so I did. I knew a realtor who cleaned houses on the side. Cleaned is the word now. She called me right before the new year and told me she wasn't going to clean houses anymore. She is selling houses for a different broker now and is going to be busier than she was so she doesn't have time for it anymore. :( I was sad! She was great and loved the kids, too! But God is blessing her by giving her more business at this new office, so it's fine. I can find someone else. I think I'm going to wait until we get into the new house next month, though. I guess I can clean my current house for just a few more weeks!

So, if you live in town and have a good cleaning lady, let me know! :)

And by the way, I don't mind laundry. I could do laundry all day. And let me just tell you my little laundry story today. After the load in the washing machine was finished, I was transferring them to the dryer when I saw something. I looked closer and it was a piece of a cinnamon raisin breakfast bar. I thought it would just be one little bity piece. As I kept moving the other clothes to, I found more. And more. And more still. Then I found a big chunk. I'm not quite sure how it got in the wash. Maybe one of the kids put it in a pocket. Or they were eating it and just got tired of it and dropped in onto the pile of laundry. That's something the boy would do. So it got washed. And it was disgustingly soggy. Needless to say, I washed the clothes again. Now I need to go move them to the dryer.

Girl, you need a Roomba! I, too, hate to clean but I think Paul would rather sit in dirt than spend a cent ... on ANYthing ;)

I am with you about the cleaning thing girl. However, I have learned that if I use products that I love the way they smell--- I'm much happier.

I finally did break down and get someone to come in to do the deep cleaning so I just have to do the day to day things.

Oh and I LOVE doing laundry too! We are so much alike~ Smiles and happy cleaning!
