Weekending

Tomorrow is my sister Anna's birthday. She is turning 26! What an old lady! Ha! We celebrated this weekend with a Filipino meal. My mom cooked pancit canton and chick adobo and we, of course, had rice, mango, and fresh pineapple to go along with it. For dessert, I made some leche flan and some sugar cookies (even though those aren't Filipino) and Mom made some maja blanca (a coconut custard). It was all DE-LICIOUS!!!

We had the party at Anna's house (she wanted to have it there!) and the kids loved sitting in the "treehouse" to eat their supper!

Singing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday girl.

We didn't have a cake with candles, but I made a birthday cake shaped sugar cookie and she bit the candle off instead of blowing some candles out. :)
Jim's family was here this weekend for my nephew's birthday. I didn't take ANY pictures at his party. It was a little chaotic and really crowded. They double-booked the gazebo at a local park so we were very crowded! You might check my sister-in-law's blog for some pictures if you're interested. I bet she will have some up before too long!
Sunday, before they all went home, Jim's baby sister Karen and her son (not the birthday boy), and Jim's parents came over for a little while. Jim was watering some grass that his dad helped transplant and my nephew wanted to run in the water. So, of course, his fun mama let him. The boy and his cousin had a blast playing! We laughed so hard at them. The girl played for a just few minutes, but got too cold.

We had a wonderful weekend with family! We hadn't been all together with Jim's family in a while, so it was very fun to laugh and make some memories! Memories were definitely made this weekend! :)

Oh, before my nephew's party on Saturday, we had some Honea family portraits taken and they seem to have turned out great! We haven't gotten them back, but should really soon. And when we do, I will definitely post some! :)
