Bees at the Camp

The bees this weekend at Garner State Park were terrible. Well, they were terrible at our campsite. I never saw any other people at the other camps running, kicking, and swatting at annoying bees. I got so stinking mad at those bugga buggas, as the boy called them. Fortunately, they didn't sting anyone. I think these bees were so used to people that they weren't "stinging bees". I didn't know there was such a thing. I thought all bees stung you.
After lunch on the second day we were there, I thought, "I wonder if we put some syrup or honey on a tree branch away from our campsite if they would 'flock' to there and stay away from us." Well, everyone thought I was crazy and didn't think it would work. Jim decided to help me, finally, after some convincing. We cut a strip of a rag and squirted maple syrup all over it and hung it from a tree. Check out the pictures!

It worked!!! We did have a few bees come out when we would bring the food out for meals, but not near as bad as they were! Yes, fam, you can thank me and my crazy ideas.
