We had a wonderful time camping in Junction. Gigi and Pop (my grandparents) made a trip through here on Wednesday to get a few things. They were headed on down to Junction to set up camp. The girl really wanted to go with them, so we loaded her up in Pop's truck and she went down a day early all by herself with her great-grandparents. Not all children have this kind of relationship with their GREAT-grandparents and I feel very blessed. And I know she is very thankful. She always has a good time with them and conversates like an adult. Gigi said she talked the whole way. So funny!
We left Thursday evening around 5. We borrowed the po-up trailer below from my sister Erin and her hubby. Thank you, Erin and Chaz! I just really don't like staying in tents anymore. :) But don't get me wrong, I still love to camp; just in a trailer.

The kids had a BLAST! They love to be outside so this was a dream for them. They rode bikes...
The girl played baseball...(well, not really played, but she hit the ball. Really good, I might add.)

The boy picked up rocks...(and here, he was under Gigi and Pop's fifth wheel and was throwing them up and hitting their trailer.)
The boy also shot some sort of foam disc gun with Uncle Derek that Pawpaw had brought for them...

Aunt Emily colored with the girl...
Jim walked down to the river with the kids to see if they could catch any fish. The girl actually caught a small perch the first day. Look at the white legs! (I think I've got them beat, though. My honey calls me mayonnaise.) Jim called me from the river and told me to bring the sunscreen down so he could spray their legs. The boy did not like sitting down there and getting his feet wet. Neither do I, so I can't blame him. The girl, however, is most certainly her daddy's girl. She is VERY adventurous and will do anything with her daddy.
We also dyed Easter eggs. Now, I will be honest with you...this kind of stuff stresses me out. I do not like messes. And Easter egg dyeing is not neat, by any means. Especially when the boy is sitting on the table and knocks over the cup of yellow dye and it gets on his jeans and all over the table. I was a little frustrated I must confess. So the following pictures of me smiling, well, it's a forced smile. :) My sweet mother was taking the pictures and saying sarcastically, "Oh, this is so much fun, isn't it Ash?" Pray for me. :) And thanks to my dad for his help!

I saved these hard-boiled eggs and was going to make some deviled eggs the next day, but they stunk up my grandparents' trailer. Oh my, they stunk so bad that evening. We had to throw them out. I was sad because I was really looking forward to some deviled eggs. YUM! But not stinky deviled eggs.
Saturday afternoon, the kids hunted some plastic Easter eggs. I'm glad we did it on Saturday because Sunday, the weather turned cold and rainy.

Breaking into the eggs...
The boy with a mouth full of a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup! He LOVES chocolate.
Waiting for us to bring their Easter baskets from us...

And here are some other random pictures:
Gigi putting lotion on...she puts it on all the time and her hands are so soft! I'm so jealous. I have boy hands, dry and cracked.
My sweet Mama
Emily, my beautiful sister (she's number 3 out of the four of us girls)
My handsome love
Checking out Derek's Game Warden binoculars.
My Daddy napping in his new chair
Pop cutting up brisket

Pop cutting up onions for onion fritters.

Pop digging for something...

Pop finally resting...he is such a hard worker! He even swept out the girl's bathroom across the road from our camp because I complained about it being dirty and having dead crickets inside. What a sweet grandpa! I love you so much, Pop! You are wonderful and I couldn't ask for a better grandpa!
Jim doing his thing! He has come to love golf and has improved tremendously (so he says, I don't know the difference). No, he really has gotten better. Just ask my dad. I'm so proud of him!
So, now you are probably bored, but I do this mainly for family's sake and they love it! We made a lot of memories.

Aww I love the pics!
Ash, the pics and what you said about Pop is so sweet! I think he is pretty great, too. I love you so much. Gigi
I, too, do not venture into dyeing eggs because of the mess! The pictures of your grandparents are wonderful. What a treasure to have!
Can't wait to see y'all!
I love the pics. Gigi and Pop both look SO good! I loved getting to see them in the pics. It's been so long since I've seen them and they don't really look like they've changed! My favorite picture, though, is the one of "the boy" laughing, sitting in the chair. He's so cute...I just want to pinch his sweet little face! Glad you had fun :)
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!!!!! I can't wait to read through yours!!!!! have a great thurs afternoon!!
You should frame that pic of your Pop. The one where you said he was finally resting. It is a classic and so perfect. Maybe even do it in B&W or sepia. So precious!!!
