Game Warden Academy

This is Derek and Emily Rogers. Emily is one of my sisters. She is number 3. There are four of us and I am the oldest. Derek and Emily have been married for about a year and half. She is in school and will student teach in the spring and graduate in May. Derek is about to go on and live his childhood dream of being a game warden. He leaves this weekend and must report to duty September 30. He has to go through the Texas Game Warden Academy in Austin. The academy is seven months long. He will be able to come home from time to time on some weekends, but he will have a lot of studying to do. From what I've heard, it's just like boot camp, so it's not going to be easy. But this is something that he has waited his whole life for. He applied last year and made it almost to the top, but got cut. And for no reason. The academy just accepts so many into the school each year. This year, he applied and by God's doing, he made it! We had a celebration party for him Saturday night. I am so proud to call him my brother-in-law. So, Derek, if you are reading this...I will be praying for you, know that I love you and I am so proud of you! And Emily, you can do this! At least you have family close by while he's gone.
